Literacy x2

Hi all, and welcome to my new website. Here's some background: I loved SF as a kid, "but when I became a man, I put away childish things." The linguistically decent stuff (e.g. Margaret Atwood) was deficient technically; the technically literate stuff (e.g. David Brin) was an insult to anyone who loves English. So I thought: If I want to read anything that's up to my standards, I'll have to write it myself. Fast-forward a few decades, and here I am in the fifth year of a PhD whose thesis is the origins of science fiction. And I'm an SF novelist. More later! -Bill
